Williams Island Pied-à-terre
Our client is an equestrian and owns racehorses. It is both her passion and her hobby, so it was important that her home reflect that without it being cliched or obvious. Elegant, sophisticated nods appear throughout the space. The foyer sets the tone with a Christian Liaigre saddle stand and hand-blown glass ropes mounted on the metallic backed grass cloth selected for the wall covering. A geometric tile scheme was executed for the mixed marble flooring in shades of beige, brown and sandstone. This lovely home in the sky overlooks the intracoastal waterway, so we played with blues and other natural hues in fabrics we selected yet also used deep saddle browns for the some of the furniture framing. The home is glamorous yet warm and inviting.
